Despite not having had any dancing, sporting, athletic or gymnastic background, I was eager to give it a try! This was not going to stop me from learning the art of pole dance! Even before my very first lesson way back in 2007, I knew that this sport would evolve into a passion of mine!
I trained as an instructor in 2008 and never looked back! I taught for 6 years and it has undoubtedly proven to be an absolutely rewarding experience! It is a terrific feeling observing my students achieve their goals.
My experience through learning has taught me that there is no right way to pole dance, but rather a safe way! It is important for me to help my students understand that they do not have to get a specific move right away, but instead to enjoy the process of learning!
Pole dancing has unquestionably made me more confident as a person in every aspect of my life and I see this in my student’s everyday as they learn and grow their skills. Forget what others think of you. Confidence is about what you think of yourself!
Everyone has a different learning journey, and it is important to remember that fitness isn’t about being better that someone else… It’s about being better than you used to be!

Pilates, Yoga & Pole & Pole Fitness Instructor Robyn started her pole dance journey in 2010 and was instantly hooked. She wanted to live at the studio. It was her happy place which filled her with passion for dance.
The attraction of this sport for Robyn is the challenge of wanting to achieve a move, a technique, a style or a routine and the absolute feeling of elation when you achieve it. She believes that Pole dance allows you to learn so much about yourself – your strengths, your limitations and your passions.
Robyn is also a Yoga, Pilates and Aerial Yoga instructor. She firmly believes in synergistic work to avoid injury and also to gain both strength and flexibility, so, combining the various disciplines compliment the strength of pole, the stretch of yoga and the control of Pilates which help one to remain fluid in dance!
Robyn has an international certification through ElevatED Pole instructors!

Karin discovered Pole Fitness in 2009 and hasn't stopped poling since! With her gymnastics background, Pole Fitness was the closest sport allowing her to fly, be “upside down” and to constantly challenge herself, her body and her abilities! For Karin, Pole Fitness has no age limit! She loves to see the excitement of her own and others’ accomplishment through mastering techniques - it is truly rewarding for her!
Karin has an international Pole Fitness training accreditation through Pole Passion in the UK which she achieved in 2011. In 2013, she then decided to leave the corporate world behind and fully commit herself to the fitness industry, following her passion! Now, a fully qualified personal trainer, she is driven by helping, guiding and sharing her knowledge for people seeking a better and healthier lifestyle, which in turn has driven her to always challenge herself!
Karins qualifications are phenomenal, she is a Qualified Personal Trainer and Kettlebell Instructor, PreggiBellies Instructor, Gymnastics coach and a Qualified Pole Fitness Trainer through Pole Passion UK!
Her achievements in the Pole Fitness industry includes being an International Judge at the World Pole Sports Championships in Zurich 2012! She has also competed abroad and at various pole competitions in SA.

Kessuree has a background in dancing since the age of 3. She joined Pole Fit in 2011 and never looked back! Kessuree is currently full time Aerial Artist Performer as well as Flying Trapeze, Aerial & Pole fitness instructor.
She is an internationally qualified instructor through Elevated Training by Marlo Fisken.

Amanda says that she was always destined to fall in love with pole dancing!
Not surprising though as an ex-gymnast! Ever since retiring from her gymnastics career she looked for something that would be as much of a passion and challenge in the same way gymnastics was to her.
Fast forward many years ahead, she started seeing pole dancing pics on her friend’s social media. Amanda decided to take her first class in 2016 and has been hooked ever since!
She loves how much pole dancing challenges her to improve on so many aspects of the aerial arts including strength, flexibility, grace and dance. Pole fitness has enlightened and introduced her to an incredibly supportive, predominantly female Pole Fit community!
Once reported to have said: “I will never dance in heels”, she is now the proud owner of two pairs of pleasers and is always looking to add to her collection!
The multi-disciplinary aspect of pole dancing with its many categories is what she now loves so much about this sport.
She loves teaching and watching students grow from strength to strength not only physicality but most importantly in their confidence levels too!

Xandre has always been active, but never like this!
She used to be a runner. Way back in 2015, one morning she went for a run and passed a pole studio along the route and decided to try it “just for fun” and has been a happy Pole Fit addict ever since.
She finds Pole fitness to be the best stress reliever, cardio and strength workout while giving you newfound appreciation for your own body and what it is capable of doing!
Pole dancing is never boring or repetitive, there are always new goals and achievements to celebrate, and as an added reward, you create yourself a killer body to boot!
